jacket chic

i sometimes find a jacket i love too much to take off when indoors. almost as if i'm dressing around this chic piece of cloth...these three are all lovely!

what is it about purple right now that has me screaming "mercy!!"? i desperately want a fun pair of purple pumps. these velvet angels peep toe pumps are dashing, a bit pricey for me, but oh-so-much fun! of course, this pair of dollhouse phenoms from akira in chicago are lovely, too, and much more affordable. but, there i struggle with the urge to get the blue ones...

summer's gone (i think we even managed to skip fall...), but these dresses practically scream sunny days...i suppose that why the white one was called "fairytale."

i hate winter, cute boots or no. i mean, yes, they are seasonal, in some cases, but in minnesota, where we live for our summers, it's hard to bring oneself to wear boots before the october chill strikes. i suppose i could make an exception, or two...

princess pop on shopbop.com! in truth, i think part of me surfes this website more and more for the gorgeous models....shopbop.com
but, how old is too old to wear these cute little numbers?

these make me wish i could twist my sh*t like the blonde in "great balls of fire"!

shopbop dreams and fancies...love the first, not just for its chili pepper color, but its airy character and, much like the forest green one at its side, sheer simple sexiness. as for stripes, well, love a shawl collar.

let's not forget various websites' amazing look books!! i don't know what would be better: being payed to dream up these fabulous look-montages, or setting and shooting them! shopbop has great look books, as do the two previously mentioned (refinery29 and nymag-fashion). but nearly every retail site tries its thumb at it. of course, there's always the standard fallback of magazine spreads....

seriously...ok, so the first is a capelet, and doesn't accenuate the clavicle like the second, but, i love the grecian look, too.

i love one-sleeve, one-shoulder, what have you styles. i think it's a clavicle fetish...

ring-a-ding

hard to imagine that my high school bore such genius

i've sworn of marriage (not out of any rainbow-solidarity - though, i fully support the cause), more or less out of a total lack of understanding why anyone would want to...
but i do love rings! and octopi never looked so lovely!
