i'm a surprisingly shy person. stems from extreme self-consciousness. but i love being asked questions, probing, shallow, you name it. sometimes gives me this fabulous shiver...i LOVE filling out those "25-question get to know you" thingies on facebook and what not.
if you could bring back one trend, what would it be?
why?
what era do you feel like you were born to dress for? (it's hard not to automatically think mad men...)
if you could splurge on one thing, what would it be?
would you rather have fabulous clothes or have a fabulously decked-out passport?
silver or gold? (or platinum, or bronze...)
how do you feel about "dressing your age"?
style icon?
shoes or bags?
patterns or solids?
and i'm bored...i'll add more later...

this blog has become my personal shopping list (or rather, wish list)....so i apologize for the lack of real content. someone once asked me if i could shop anywhere for free, where would i shop. i answered nordstroms. i've changed my mind. shopbop.com is heaven on earth...

i often wonder, not just at the derivation of symbols and their usage and meaning, but of how they were originally conceived of. "fleur-de-lis" literally means lily flower, and has for thousands of years (think mesopotamia) stood as a symbol of royalty and nobility. the lily would be impossible to miss, but what possessed someone to denote it as a symbol of strength and royalty?who knows? someone, i'm sure....
